ANALYSIS::
As we know, this film is a modern day adaption of the classical novel, DEVDAS, written by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay. Film is dark and real in it's way of potraying the scenes and the situations. It shows the attitude and behaviour of the comtemporary youth with a different end from the original!! There is nothing new as far as the story is concerned till the pre-climax and climax(plz watch it to know) but the presentation and crude reality and imaginability of the writer-director Anurag keeps us engaged to the film!
ABOUT TECHINICIANS::
Screenplay of the film is a major plus point!! As viewers, we know the story but still we were engaged to the screens as we were watching a new film! Kudos to the writers of the film! They made it look real and yet engaging! I felt this has the best work of Anurag- the writer, after classic SATYA ! Believe me it worth it!
Music department (as many worked) done a great job and gave a totally different album and a new youth anthem " Emosonial athyachayaar"!!
Direction was good and excellent at parts! Think Anurag learnt from his last debacle NO SMOKING, where he was highly imaginative leaving the base of the story behind! Here he sticks to the base and doesn't be over-imaginative, making it a nice film to watch!
SUMMARY::
Film is very engaging and watchable! It is an youth film made entirely for youth of today and they will like it!!
