GAGANAM- A Ride to remember

I was very eager to watch this film from first title to end credit. So I ran to the theater before the show started. But theater people didn't understand my eagerness and they made me to wait for 30 minutes..outside. My eagerness turned into restlessness...but I came to watch a movie in a theater and I can watch it only when theater is ready to show it to me and others....

The wait came to end and I rushed to my seat. I wasn't comfortable even watching ads...which normally play before the film..this continued till I saw the censor certificate.

Now I started relaxing in my seat. Film slowly started with the introduction of passengers and flight. What a work by art department..No one can say that flight was not original but a set....And even the Airport. Kudos to the Art department.

Then the passengers..they are performers not fakers. They know what do u mean when we say "acting".  The comedy in the movie took off with Shining Star-his fan episode. The flight was steady till the hijackers took over and one accident leading to chaos in the plane. Now the introduction of officials and news reporters followed. The comedy, tension and every emotion in the film is urging audience to pray for the rescue of these passengers.




Then came our Commando Nag. From the word go, he was in his character, N Ravindra, never did he tried to show his muscle as a mass hero or acted as himself. He was pitch perfect. Slowly the pace of the film build and reached a peak level showing all emotions: a commando, a government official undergo during the pressure situation, media going out of it's place to get few more Trps, even Hijackers trying to be humans when they can...

At it's peak film involved each and every one in the theater. When the rescue completed successfully every one in the theater appreciated the efforts of the Commando Ravi.

Performances:: Talking about performances, as I said earlier every one in the cast of this film were real actors and not fakers. Kudos goes to the Director Radha Mohan for extracting such performance from entire cast.

Nag showed how a "real life commando" behaves and never overdone or underdone his character. This rates Higher than his previous best performances.

Prakash Raj has a very small role for his stature but he gave another pitch perfect performance.  

Special mention for Poonam Kaur and actor Vijay who played a retired Colonel.

Production Values were top class.

Cinematography:: K V Guhan showed a way to Telugu film Industry in using Digital Technology for better outputs, kudos to him.

Dialogues:: Very natural and perfect for the film.

Story-Screenplay- Direction:: Radha Mohan has outdone himself in portraying emotions after Abhiyum Nannum.(Akashamantha)in GAGANAM. He was pitch perfect with his script and never let the balance between the comedy, emotion and adventure interfere each other. He showed to perfectly balance the entertainment value of a film with novelty. Hope he continues in this way forever.

BGM was apt and never over-smarted the proceedings. Praveen Mani deserves an applause.

Editing  like every other department this too did it's work well.
