John Wick Movie Review ..

JOHN WICK MOVIE REVIEW

I know Keenu Reaves as Speed movie star and Matrix series Star. When I saw John Wick trailer, I thought oh another action film which supposedly a comeback of some sorts. I thought let's give this a try even though it looked completely formulaic and cliched. 

The film tries to be true to what it is. An action film more about it's action episodes. The action episodes work out really well. They are bloody and at some parts are believably real. Nothing to be said about story. It just a film that helps you to enjoy the stunt choreography more than it's content. 

John Wick is a well noted kill -man in the Russian Mob. He retries and settles with his loved wife. One day tragedy strikes which he initially believes as karma and actually it is. His wife dies of a disease and in her last minutes she gifts a dog to John. He connects with the dog respecting her last wish. One day at a gas station, a spoilt brat, son of Russian mobster, happens to like the vintage car John drives and asks for the price. John refuses and this damages the ego of the brat. He attacks John in the night and kills his dog. John sets out for revenge and brings down the entire mob. 

This is the story in a nutshell. The stunts and directors deft handling of the proceedings keep you glued and you find yourself enjoying the film by the climax. On the whole, a guilty pleasure kind of a film! 

Bottom line: Go John Wick! Kill All !!
