We all need to satisfy that fantasy craving little boy in all of us which makes us watch the sci-fi adventures and superhero outlandish films with glee. We need someone to save us .. Some threat to destroy demolish and a hero who unites us and destroys the devilish plans and restores the humanity.
Hollywood has been producing a Super man, Batman, Spiderman, X-men and many more... Now it's Bollywood's turn to produce a desi- super hero, a genre which Indian hindi film industry infact entire Indian film industry as least explored. Except for many heroes trying to be super humans we don't have a proper super-hero to boost off. We do have Hanuman but we do need a proper one with cool costume and a mask, all the cool stuff you see.
With Koi Mil Gaya, Rakesh Roshan decided to give a super-hero to Indian audience, following the success he made Krissh and now after super success he is back with Krrish 3 ..(Don't ask me where is 2.. we were time travelling then)
In idea the film is very good, but the execution and the sequences that follow in front of your eyes are too bland, boring and awfully outlandish that you just don't want to immerse yourself in the proceedings anymore. The unnecessary over the top emotionalisation of the sequences makes you cringe. The Visual effects after a point stop amusing owing to the mindless gags and ice-creaming sucking villains.
The film is too looong to be taken seriously and acting too makes you feel like you walked into a drama or an opera house rather watching a film. Hritik roshan tried hard his body is great in stunts but as Rohit he just hammed to no extent. The lovable rohit of Koi Mil Gaya is always a joy over this over dramatic one. Vivek Oberoi tried his best to be cool spine chilling but professor Xavier-ish make up or his back story didn't help him to grow on auidence.
All in all a bad attempt ... You can watch it on Home DVD for your children.. In fact I would advise not to put your children through this crap rather show them Spider-man or Krrish twice. Trust me it would make them more happy.
